Our Impact
We educate through games so that people do not succumb to manipulation and fake news.
After completing our workshops, children and seniors:
confidently seek and verify information.
have confidence in quality media, but approach information critically.
are more cautious when using social networks.
work more carefully with text and photographs.
pay attention to their emotions when consuming content.
We don’t achieve such impact alone
Teachers rate our programme as very beneficial (64.6%) or beneficial (35.5%). More than three quarters of them appreciate the interactivity, the ability to verify information and the extension of knowledge about the risks of misinformation. In 87% of the cases, our lecturers and tutors leave with an imaginary “A” for their performance on campus.
What have we achieved with our partners?
We have been working with Facescape for more than 6 years. During this time, they have climbed to the top of interactive media education trainers in our eyes. Together we run educational workshops for primary and high schools as part of our O2 Smart School programme. We have also been involved in projects such as the 2019 escape game or the card game Feed the Duck. And not only that. We often join forces at presentations and conferences for the public. We always present Fakescape as our loyal, professional and, above all, close partner.

Our 5 reasons why
Media education in schools
Media education is part of the Framework Educational Programme (FEP) in Czech schools. According to data from the Czech School Inspectorate (2017), 90% of schools teach media education as a cross-cutting topic. Our workshops thus complement the activities of schools and contribute to expanding the integration of this topic into the curriculum.
01
Preparing for the future
According to One World (2023), in most cases media education in schools is taught by teachers who have not attended any course, seminar or training on the topic of media education. That is why we cooperate with Czech universities to train (future) teaching staff in media education.
02
03
Media literacy of the population
The Czech Republic ranks just behind countries such as Austria, Germany and the UK in the international Media Literacy Index. We believe that education is key to increasing the media literacy of the population.
Cyber security in schools
Cybersecurity is also part of the RVP in primary schools. We offer schools the opportunity to develop their knowledge of the subject with our experienced lecturers. And we also train internationally on how to teach the topic when working with young people.
04
Quality and long-term cooperation
We believe that our positive motivation and desire to improve the world around us is a powerful tool to make big changes. Our work at the workshops is only just beginning, we are also thinking about long-term impact, quality collaboration and educating those who can pass on our themes.
05
And what is our motivation?
We surveyed our membership and they see the biggest motivation for their involvement as having a positive impact on society and improving soft skills such as empathy, communication and presentation skills. If you care about the topic as much as we do, you can be there with us.
